What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the integration of remote sensing and modeling methods to define altered fire regimes
- Characterize Regional Extreme Wildfire Events (REWEs) across the United States
- Coordinate collaborations with postdocs and scientists at collaborating institutions
- Develop decision support tools from remote sensing data and model outputs
- Provide leadership within the project
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Completed Ph.D. in ecology, geography, or related field
- Expertise in remote sensing, modeling, and spatial analysis
- Interest or expertise in diverse types of remote sensing data
- Strong research productivity record
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1-3 years of experience working with wildfire
