What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform analysis of healthcare data and manage projects through completion within an expected budget
- Write reports that clearly communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Supervise actuarial students in the completion of technical aspects of actuarial projects
- Develop and manage client relationships, with a focus on generating new business
- Collaborate with a diverse team of actuarial professionals and healthcare consultants
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field
- ASA designation
- Three to six years of healthcare actuarial experience
- Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and proficiency with Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Medicaid rate-setting, reserving and year-end statutory financials, ACA pricing/rate filing, or Medicare Advantage
- Knowledge of SAS, SQL, or R
- Entrepreneurial spirit and proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
