      Your Team's Impact:
      Symbology content is a vital capability within FactSet, helping integrate and link other content and capabilities. Core Symbology is our strategic platform, aggregating critical reference data and identifiers across all asset types. It reduces infrastructural overhead, improving flexibility, scalability, efficiency, and data timeliness. Core Symbology drives existing FactSet products and fosters the development of next-generation offerings.

      What You’ll Do:

      Data Analysis:

      • Assess and confirm source data specifications, accuracy, and timeliness.
      • Identify anomalies and resolve issues with specialists.
      • Utilize SQL Server, Excel, and Python for data analysis.
      • Communicate effectively and understand financial data and analysis methods.

      Data Quality Assurance:

      • Monitor and improve data quality processes throughout the pipeline.
      • Design and implement QA checks with Engineering and Content teams.
      • Validate data integrity and secure necessary approvals before changes.

      Data Content Support:

      • Manage data issue escalations and coordinate resolution efforts.
      • Troubleshoot and isolate root causes using SQL, Python, and Excel.
      • Communicate effectively with clients and provide documentation for support teams.

      Data Model Design Support:

      • Assist with tasks related to data model design for accuracy and scalability.
      • Support data analysis and testing during the design phase.

      What We’re Looking For:

      • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
      • 2+ years of experience in the financial industry or financial technology industry.
      • Problem-solving and reasoning skills: assess each situation to make the best decision.
      • Financial market knowledge: understand the market and client workflows for informed decision-making.
      • Business acumen: knowledge of competitor strengths and weaknesses and how we stand out.
      • Analytical skills: break down data issues into manageable parts, identify patterns or trends, and draw logical conclusions.
      • Technical skills: proficient in SQL for retrieving and analyzing data for various purposes.
      • MS Office, especially Excel: skilled in data manipulation, modification, and analysis.

      Desired Skills:

      • Previous experience in financial product management, customer operations, or financial data operations.
      • Advanced degrees and certifications such as an MBA or CFA (charter holder).

      The budgeted salary range for this position in the states of Connecticut and New York is $70,000 - 90,000.
