What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Copyedit and proofread materials during all stages of production for paperback reissues and reprint corrections
- Ensure consistency of style and accuracy in spelling, grammar, and punctuation while verifying book information
- Collaborate with Managing Editorial and the Reprints team to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Maintain “internal logic” of projects and resolve issues through discussions with various teams
- Support the Copyediting team with frontlist work as needed

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in trade or academic book copyediting and proofreading
- Strong attention to detail with a thorough command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage
- Ability to work independently, organizing and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in digital editing, particularly in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Spanish-language editorial experience
- Experience with editing marketing and sales materials
