What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
- Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
- Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions and examinations under oath
- Defend all assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing as applicable
- Document files clearly and concisely for understanding by clients and colleagues

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2 to 6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury
- Juris Doctor degree
- Admission to the New York Bar and licensed in good standing to practice law in New York
- Ability to travel for trials, hearings, depositions, and meetings as required
- Strong organizational, priority-setting, and multi-tasking skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Civil litigation experience
- Insurance defense-related litigation experience
- Professional communication skills in person, via telephone, and in written correspondence
