The Associate Crew Hotel and Transportation (CHAT) Scheduler helps Southwest deliver on our Purpose by handling overall Crew overnight accommodations and transportation needs during daily and irregular operations. This role joins the Crew Scheduling Teams, and they are a specialized group that connects with Pilots and Flight Attendants over the phone to provide hotel and transportation accommodations - typically for day-of or near-future changes. This role will undergo extensive training and development with the tightknit Crew Scheduling Team, have opportunities to learn and grow in their expertise each day, and they'll be able to pilot where their career with Heart takes them.

Due to the nature of this role, you would be required to work from our Dallas, TX headquarters facility during business hours.
- U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required, and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available.
- Ensure hotel and transportation reservations are secured for Crew Members following any changes to their schedule
- Ensure all hotel and transportation reservations for Crew Members (Both Flight Ops, and Inflight) are communicated and resolved in a timely manner
- Act as a liaison between Flight Attendants, Pilots, and overall Crew Operations (Inflight and Flight Operations and the NOC ) to mitigate lodging and transportation challenges
- Collaborate with all necessary internal departments and outside parties to eliminate operational challenges involving hotels and transportation issues
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Skilled in using computer software programs to retrieve, input, modify, and/or save information
- Skilled in operating a multi-line telephone with sufficient courtesy
- Skilled in demanding/difficult Customers
- Skilled in effectively communicating verbally by telephone or face to face
- Ability to read documents, follow instructions, and learn and understand office procedures, Flight Attendant work rules, Pilot work rules, and applicable Federal Regulations
- Ability to perform mathematical computations using decimals and hours and minutes
- Ability to handle and resolve administrative tasks
- Ability to work well in complex situations
- Ability to work under tight time constraints to complete tasks
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Entry-level experience, developing skills and knowledge in:
- Customer Service
- Microsoft Office products
- Operational, call center or fast paced environment
- N/A
- Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and overtime

Competitive market salary from $49,300 per year to $54,800 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
