Job Description

Master's degree in education , counseling, higher education administration or other relevant field of study.
At least 5 years of experience in higher education with a demonstrated progression of increasing responsibility or related experience.
Experience in supervising staff, program development, budget administration, strategic planning
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
A bility to develop policies and procedures; ability to develop relevant programs and services
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and divisions
Knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and regulations in higher education
Ability to monitor and assess the effectiveness of programs and recommend modifications as necessary
A combination of experience and education may substitute for education or experience
Experience in a college counseling or outpatient mental health setting
Mental health licens ure
Crisis response experience
ATIXA and / or NABITA training
Familiarity with Maxient software

StaffJob Description
The Associate Dean of Students is responsible for providing oversight and management of student support and intervention services for the Dean of Students Administrative Office , working collaboratively across the university to support student wellbeing and address concerns, and contributing to the overall mission of the institution. This position will be primarily located at the Ft. Worth location , with occasional travel to Stephenville and Wac o .
The Associate Dean of Students will have initial training and onboarding completed at St ephenville location. Work hours include Monday – Friday; 8 AM – 5 PM , or as work requirements may indicate which may include after hours, evenings, and weekends.
Must be able to work remotely at the request of the university.
Responsibilities:
60% - Administrative / Supervisory : Provide leadership and supervision for the Dean of Students Administrative Office (DOSAO) student support team, consisting of the case management team and Child Care Access Means Parents In School ( CCAMPIS ) G rant team. Support case management team in assessing and respo nding to Campus Assessment, Response and Evaluation (CARE) reports; elevate high-risk cases to the Dean of Students for review and risk assessment. Chair the Campus Assessment, Response, and Education team. Provide oversight and leadership for student resource services (Purple Pantry, emergency funding) for the Ft. Worth location. Oversee grant-related projects and funding .
20% - Operations : Provide support in the management of DOSA bu dget and financial operations . Regularly review policy, recommend appropriate updates when necessary. Manage the tracking and reporting of relevant data to a variety of stakeholders . Represent the Dean of Students Administrative Office to the campus and local communities, serve in the Dean of Students place when the Dean is out .
10% - Liaison: Cultivate opportunities for collaboration and partnerships with other departments and community members to impact the full, holistic, student experience. Establish and maintain relationships with strategic partners and donors to address student resource gaps (housing, food, clothing, etc.) Participate in university and community committees, events, and programs.
10 % Other Duties as Assigned : Perform other related duties as assigned incidental to the position's nature or appropriate to the mission of the Dean of Students Administrative Office, Division of S tudent Engagement and Success , and the University . Serve as a hearing officer for administrative resolution of cases of student and group/organization misconduct

The target base annual salary is commensurate with experience and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
