      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Advise the Membership Committee on member eligibility and compliance matters
      - Serve as a governance consultant to AILA’s 39 local Chapters on association management
      - Plan and execute Board-related activities and the Annual Membership Meeting
      - Oversee the annual nominations and elections process
      - Facilitate the development and maintenance of governance documents and tools

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
      - Seven to nine (7-9) years of association experience in governance and Board support
      - Hands-on experience working with volunteer leadership
      - Prior supervisory experience required
      - Ability to commute to the DC Metro area as needed

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in managing volunteer groups or similar organizations
      - Familiarity with developing leadership training and resource materials
      - Knowledge of compliance matters in nonprofit associations
      - Strong communication and organizational skills
      - Experience with governance-related inquiries and committee staffing
