Strategize, plan, and manage the execution of Digital and company-wide cybersecurity initiatives.
Define the critical path of large-scale programs, identify dependencies, and mitigate risks.
Ensure that all program deliverables and deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Lead cross-functional teams to drive the successful completion of cybersecurity initiatives.
Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of cybersecurity programs.
Provide thought leadership and strategic insights to drive the improvement of cybersecurity across the organization.
Undertake additional duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of relevant work experience is required.
Proven experience directing large-scale cybersecurity programs at a growing tech or biotech company.
Exceptional ownership and drive to deliver results backed by a data-driven and strategic mindset.
Outstanding program and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to define the critical path of programs, identify dependencies, and mitigate risks.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels.

The Role
We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Cybersecurity Program Manager to lead our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), this role will serve as a primary leader in strategizing, planning, and executing Digital and company-wide cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate should have an expert understanding of defining the critical path of large-scale programs, identifying dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met. This role requires a minimum of 12 years of professional experience, a relevant degree or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree, and substantial experience directing cybersecurity programs at a growing tech or biotech company.

Under Washington State law, Moderna is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for the jobs covered by this description. Base compensation for these positions in Washington State range from $182,000 to $327,500 . Actual salary determinations will take into account factors such as work location, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills. Compensation decisions are made on the facts and circumstances of each case.
