What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide scientific expertise and guidance on gene therapy and gene editing discovery efforts
- Manage communications and relationships with key stakeholders, including CROs and external collaborators
- Serve as a subject matter expert on research agreements and strategic partnerships
- Design and oversee preclinical studies, ensuring successful execution as study director
- Author clinical documents for regulatory submissions and communicate effectively during regulatory interactions

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with 8+ years of experience, including at least 3 years in neuromuscular disease and/or CNS therapeutic areas
- In-depth knowledge of viral vector design, in vitro disease models, and preclinical development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven record of empowering scientific excellence
- Authorization to work in the U.S.

- Experience in drug discovery programs and clinical development within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- Familiarity with regulatory processes and documentation for clinical trials
