- Maintaining and implementing an agreed business plan to include strategy for new Client acquisition and relationship management.
- Demonstrate and utilise expert product knowledge to maximise delivery across all channels.
- Maintain strong relationships with the coverage colleagues and key business introducers to ensure effective delivery
- Accountable for the structuring of financial solutions & negotiation of all deals.
- Build and maintain an effective external network to ensure maximisation of opportunity across all channels.
- Ensure common goals and strategic alignment with the wider Group to drive product offerings into our client base.
- Grow product penetration from recently acquired new customers.
- Use good risk judgement to fulfil personal underwriting responsibilities within policy.
- Experienced in client face to face sales negotiations
- Outstanding business development skills
- Strong knowledge of Asset Finance
- A proficiency in the credit and underwriting process and a fluency in all manner of financial documents- able to analyse, draw insights and make financial services recommendations
- You'll need to demonstrate how you're wired into local networks with extensive connections in the professional space and able to use these for business development opportunities
- Excellent partner management skills to ensure business opportunities are maximised.

JOB TITLE: Associate Director
LOCATION(S): Southampton, and ideally based in South West or close surrounding areas
SALARY: £56,000 - £70,000
Hours: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Two days per week (or 40% of your time) at one of our offices listed above.The Asset finance Team plays a key part of the cashflow solution for many trading businesses and is a growth product both within LBG and the UK generally, making this an exciting area to develop a career within the wider Group!
About the opportunityWe have an opportunity to join the South West & South East team as one of our Associate Sales Directors, dealing in the SME sector (£3-£25m turnover bracket). Ideally based in South West or close surrounding areas, this role requires a strong profile in the marketplace to identify and deliver high quality new business opportunities, as well as a collaborative working style to deliver a range of Asset Finance products for pre-dominantly new clients.
This is a new business development role, where you'll primarily identify new customer opportunities.

What we'll need from you:You’re likely to have solid business to business experience within financial services and will ideally come from a Commercial Finance, leasing, asset finance background with sound business development and sales experience.
