Plans, leads & implements all applicable testing programs ensuring consistent, high quality practices/work and the achievement of business results.
Manages testing execution resource planning and strategy.
Works with partners for process consistency across execution teams.
Provides guidelines and vision to assess and adapt current testing programs and develops new operational testing capabilities to ensure ongoing efficient & effective delivery.
Provides input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
Executes identified test programs for a variety of specializations to support effective testing & monitoring of controls within business groups and across the Bank.
Understands the business/group strategy and develops and maintains knowledge of end to end processes.
Develops knowledge related to program and/or area of specialty.
Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal & external business partners/stakeholders to execute work and fulfill service delivery expectations.
Participates in planning and implementation of operational testing programs and executes within required service level agreements and standards.
Executes work to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery.
Ensures consistent, high quality practices/work and the achievement of business results in alignment with business/group strategies and with productivity goals.
Analyzes root causes of any errors discovered to provide for effective communication of issues to appropriate parties.
Creates and maintains adequate testing support documentation such as workpapers, testing reports, etc. to support the results of reviews including the write-up of findings/issues for reporting.
Provides ongoing support to the continuous improvement process of the business unit.
Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
Implements changes in response to shifting trends.

Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional designations or business designations: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) – most preferred, CIA (preferred), CPA (preferred), any other audit, risk or controls testing related.
MS Office related skills: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Expert understanding of business/group challenges and networks with industry contacts to gather and identify competitive insights and best practices, integrating into BMO’s practices.
Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.

The Associate Director T&O RIC Control Testing is a Senior Manager level position, with reporting to the Director. The position is responsible for testing key internal controls in the Operations area. The primary business areas of focus are Enterprise Fraud Management, Corporate Real Estate and Procurement Operations with an enterprise-wide coverage.
As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of testing professionals and managing one or more concurrent testing engagements, ensuring testing quality and project management with Central Testing Utility (CTU) (a 1B function)’s standard methodology and testing processes. You will manage the end-to-end testing life cycle, starting from Annual Plan for your responsible business areas to engagement level planning/fieldwork/reporting. The Annual Plan’s execution is expected to be delivered within expected quality and timelines. You will be the key person responsible to ensure test results are timely and accurately communicated through formal verbal and written mediums. You will ensure issues identified are communicated in a complete and accurate manner, by applying critical thinking and assessing materiality. Report writing will be a key skill for success so that the reports are concise and clear, articulating the issues such that they are well understood, unambiguous and actionable. You will maintain strong and lasting relationship with individuals and teams you will interact, and can be seen as a strong and trusted partner. You are expected to be well-organized and thoughtful in all communication and people management. You will also support your Director (direct manager) in delivering key initiatives and projects both at team-level and overall CTU-level. You are comfortable with communication and engaging with senior leaders from across BMO. Ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in auditing, risk, control testing or public accounting firm. Executes testing to provide insights and recommendations on test results, findings, identified issues, re-performance testing, and continuous improvement insights. Executes testing, monitoring and operational activities of various complexity based on assigned portfolio ensuring adherences to established service levels and standards.
