      Position: Associate Economist

      Location: Wayne, PA

      Description of work to be performed:

      Provide analytical support on Micro and Macro economic projections that inform strategic decisions. Evaluate potential improvements to mortgage modeling, economic scenario simulation, cost of capital modeling, economic capital, and risk appetite. Support analysis of metro-level economic conditions focusing on employment and housing impacts from changes in policy, consumer culture, and macro-economic forces. Assist with the development and maintenance of metro-level fundamental home price valuation, market home price valuation, and unemployment econometric models. Monitor macro-economic forecasting accuracy and identify potential areas of improvement. Responsible for researching and proposing potential improvements to micro and macro- economic concepts for the statistical mortgage modeling team. Research economic impacts of climate risk on home prices and unemployment at a metro level. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

      Qualifications / Requirements:

      Master’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Econometrics, Quantitative, Numerical Finance, or a related field and 1 years of related experience. The position also requires 1 year of understanding econometric time series and auto regressive modeling techniques; 1 year of knowledge of Micro and Macro Economics; 1 year of understanding of probability modeling; 1 year of familiarity with economic data and sources; 1 year of knowledge of Python, R, SAS or C++ for data analysis, mining, and modeling. Telecommuting permitted. 100% Remote Role.
