What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan, recommend, reserve, and execute the investigation and settlement of large personal insurance property claims
- Assess indemnity and expense exposure of assigned claims to ensure fair dispositions
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to share knowledge and expertise
- Mentor Associate General Adjusters and Property Damage Adjusters
- Maintain compliance with corporate claim settlement policies and statutory requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a full file Claim Adjuster for complex property losses over $300,000 for General Adjuster; 3+ years for Associate General Adjuster
- Strong functional knowledge of residential claims and ability to interpret and apply insurance coverage
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in cost estimation, preferably using Xactimate, and MS Office (Excel)
- Availability for nationwide catastrophe operations as necessary
