      The Associate Instructional Designer will administer, monitor, and support the Assurant Dealer Services’ Specialist program. Assist and be a part of the Instructional Design team which collaborates with Assurant’s Automotive Training Academy team and other subject matter experts to create and develop industry-leading curriculum to further the goals of Assurant, industry partners, and all Assurant’s global automotive markets.

      What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

      Specialist Program Administrative Support:

      • Assist with onboarding and conduct orientation of new specialists

      • Schedule specialist assignments

      • Collect and distribute specialist assignment reports

      • Track and report on specialist assignment performance

      • Invoice client for account specialist services

      • Intake payment and remit to the Finance department

      • Track and report on specialist receivables

      • Complete monthly specialist staffing and revenue reports

      Instructional Design:

      • Development of training materials and programs applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design to create learning curricula that best suit the needs of the content (includes online, classroom, virtual instructor-led training, and blended learning)

      • Design and develop exercises, tutorials, job aids, assessments, and other methods of learning including social or connected learning strategies

      • Perform needs analyses using available data and evaluate program results to continuously improve learning effectiveness

      • Establish a process to review and include feedback from end-of-course surveys, and student evaluations in the quality assurance process

      • Support and incorporate the use of our Knowledge Base into learning methods and strategies; support and help drive knowledge-centered support methodologies

      • Work with subject matter experts to ensure that the course objectives are defined and met, the appropriate instructional method and learning principles are selected for the development of each product

      • Oversee aspects of course quality including content, editorial, and overall presentation of material, tracking and resolving issues through LMS

      • Proactively research training industry trends (Gamification, creating web-based learning programs, virtual training capabilities, training tools/platforms, etc.) to improve learning effectiveness continuously

      What are the requirements needed for this position?

      • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in instructional design, e-learning, or education is preferred

      • 1-2 years of professional work experience or applicable advanced degree and 1 year of professional work experience

      • Comprehensive knowledge of current instructional theories and principles applicable to both online and instructor-led learning programs

      • Development of creative and engaging training materials for adult audiences in a variety of formats and media, as well as storyboarding and user guides

      • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated proficiency in designing, building, and deploying instructor e-learning modules using real-time technology and the ADDIE model of curriculum development with an emphasis on Constructivist approaches

      • Experience utilizing the Kirkpatrick 4 Level Assessment for training curriculums

      • Experience in utilizing the various levels of Bloom’s taxonomy to construct learning objectives

      What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

      What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?

      • Candidate must live in Chicago or Atlanta markets

      How much should I expect to travel?

      • Up to 10% travel for meetings and trainings

      Pay Range:

      $59,200.00 - $98,800.00

      Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
