What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify patient insurance information for accuracy and eligibility, including direct contact with physician offices or patients
- Determine the need for secondary insurance and ensure the correct primary payer is selected
- Utilize vendor resources and payer websites to obtain necessary eligibility, benefit, and authorization information
- Document findings in patient accounts and communicate estimated costs to patients prior to service dates
- Obtain and enter authorizations from insurance companies, ensuring all details are complete and accurate

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong customer service experience required
- Experience in accounts receivable, billing, or insurance verification preferred
- Prior healthcare experience is a must
- Availability for scheduled work shifts from Monday to Friday

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting related to insurance verification or billing
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other government contract guidelines
- Knowledge of payer contracts and processes for collecting payments and deductibles
