      Job summary

      As an associate practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the Biomedical scientists on daily tasks, maintaining equipment's and will be contributing to the smooth delivery of service at a high standard.

      Applications are sought from self-motivating individuals with a desire to learn and develop within our busy laboratories. Previous experience in any of the Blood Sciences disciplines is essential.

      The laboratory has IBMS training approval for Registration Portfolios in Blood Sciences.

      Main duties of the job

      You will be part of maintaining and delivering high standard service to our users. The main duties would include maintaining analytical equipment, loading samples onto the analysers, processing internal quality controls and calibrating the assay under the supervision of BMS, participating in laboratory meetings, supporting BMS with additional duties.

      NWLP Induction

      The NWLP induction will run on the first Monday of each month (provided it does not fall on a bank holiday) and includes laboratory training (for relevant laboratory roles). All new staff must attend the NWLP induction during their first week with NWLP.
