Develop software that delights users and empowers Manufacturing
Understand hardware and software interactions in a test system .
Collaborate with product experts to understand requirements to design and build quality test solutions
Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes
Understand industry trends in manufacturing test processes and recommend prudent adoption strategies.
Relentlessly improve the experience of your software users
Serve as a technical contact for internal customers .
Thoroughly investigate and diagnose complex software issues reported by users or escalated from others
Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
Understand. Create. Simplify.

B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar equivalent
Familiarity with various testing methodologies
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Embedded systems firmware development including Real-time firmware design , C and assembly languages
Object - oriented design with any Object - oriented languages (C++, C#, Delphi, Java)
Embedded Linux systems development including C, C++, Python
Other scripting languages
Excellent writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Experience working on software projects
E xperience designing specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of a software product.
In depth knowledge of automated test frameworks and its underlying architecture.
Experience with Agile Development and DevOps concepts.

About the company
Manufacturing Operations seeks a software engineer who is passionate about solving problems and using software to help Manufacturing deliver high quality products to our customers.
Our team develops software that supports Manufacturing – powering automated functional testing for our products, designing a base set of modules to interact with other test systems and serving front-line production people and engineers. This problem space provides a unique opportunity to work directly with SEL products, Manufacturing personnel, and software that powers the factories. We need another engineer to join our mission to make manufacturing processes dramatically better through software.
Our ideal candidate is one who has solid knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, has a good grasp of fundamental electrical and electronic concepts, is an unfaltering advocate for quality, and customers. Our candidate work s collaboratively and communicate s effectively with professionals from a range of technical backgrounds creating mission-critical software, finding new opportunities for software to support our customers in Manufacturing, and taking on tough challenges.

Pay Range Data:
Associate Software Engineer: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually.
We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
