Participate in the design, implementation, and test of firmware/software systems.
Understand hardware and software interactions, and collaborate with Hardware Engineers.
Prepare and maintain designs and test documentation.
Mentor Associate Engineers and Technicians.

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Typically 2+ years experience in one or more areas: Object Oriented and/or Embedded Programming (C, C++, C#, Python). Network Communications (IS and/or ICS Protocols). Digital Forensics- Reverse Engineering.

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) Infrastructure Defense Division seeks a talented individual for a cybersecurity focused Software Engineer position. The work we perform is some of the most fascinating, challenging, and rewarding that can be found in the power engineering community.
With a team, conduct white and black box testing of devices and software for security flaws and vulnerabilities. Identify areas of concern and recommendations for an improved cybersecurity stance. Will require staying up to date with current security vulnerabilities and mitigation processes.

Pay Range:
We anticipate filling this position as an Associate Software Engineer $77,000 - $95,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
