      Summary

      The Associate Staffing Specialist for the Investment Funds Global Practice Group (GPG) will play a critical role in the development of attorneys in the GPG and the management of the attorney talent pool. The Specialist will be a foundational team member to help execute the process for facilitating workflow and evaluating and managing capacity within the Investment Funds GPG. This role will work with the Practice Group Manager and additional team members to ensure effective workflow traction and facilitation to meet the GPG’s goals and needs. This entails a hands-on, as well as collaborative approach, across a complex scope of associate and partner needs, balancing workloads, sourcing work across offices, and maximizing available resources, while taking into consideration skills required.

      Duties and Responsibilities

      • Provide staffing assistance and assignment coordination across the designated practices in the GPG.
      • Build key relationships with attorneys, focusing on the more junior associates, in the GPG to address resource needs and proactively facilitate workflow integration.
      • Assist in developing and monitoring the process by which associates report capacity and conduct individual follow up when needed.
      • Analyze data to identify utilization trends for the associates that will be utilized in evaluating capacity and workflow assignments.
      • Assist in the development of training materials for both the partners and associates as it relates to workflow processes.
      • Consult with other departments, i.e. Learning & Development; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, accounting, finance, etc., to address any issues or conflicts.
      • New York Applicants: Salaries may vary by location. In New York, the estimated target salary range of this role is $73,000 - $105,000, in addition to bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefit package. Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to, the relevant market and the skill, experience, class or graduation year, and education of the selected candidate.

      Education and/or Experience:

      Required:

      • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university, preferably in business or similar field.
      • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in similar setting, law firm or professional services.
      • Understanding of key terminology and transaction types in Investment Funds.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Resource Management/Scheduling Tools, and other related applications
      • Strong presence in the face of complexity and time-constrained challenges.
      • Skilled at negotiating and managing conflict.
      • Proven client service focus, with an ability to resolve issues quickly and a sense of urgency.
      • Flexible in adapting to constantly changing priorities.

      Preferred:

      • An MBA or JD is a plus.
