- Efficiently maintain active open exception pipeline.
- Ensure expeditious turn times for all Audit Resolution responses.
- Be accountable for the management of the overall Audit Resolution pipeline on a daily basis.
- Review all level 1-3 defects and provide times responses within the ACEs portal.
- Collaborate with Post Closing Quality Control and Underwriting to identify and correct problematic trends in Post-Closing Quality Control results.
- Collaborate with the Operations to develop process changes, training, and policy and methods that will prevent future defects in the loan process.
- Research and identify the root causes for each defect that occurs during the loan process.
- Communicate with team leaders to address defects in internal processes.
- Provide audit resolution to the departments and team members responsible for any defects that are discovered.
- Collaborate with the Insuring Department on critical error resolutions.
- Collaborate with the Repurchase Department to respond to repurchase demands and Investor Quality Control review issues.
- Communicate effectively with all AFR departments to resolve a wide variety of processing issues, including but not limited to FHA documents, as well as 4506t and PTF conditions.
- Develop, refine, and implement processes to resolve findings of processing defects.
- Review defects with the party responsible for causing them and relay responses to Quality Control.
- Collaborate with all parties to the loan transaction including Real estate agents, settlement agents, borrowers & clients to obtain the required credit and/or closing documentation for audit purposes.
- Provide a high-quality level of client service to external and internal parties.
- Act with integrity to always ensure compliance with all applicable mortgage insurance regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and discrepancies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control measures to prevent errors and improve post-closing processes.
- Utilize discretion when adjusting communication styles and modes to the situation and needs of the other party.
- Fulfill other responsibilities as needed.
- Have a high school diploma / GED or at least 3 years of professional work experience.
- Have experience reading DU and LP results.
- Have at least one year of experience with mortgage appeals and resolution.
- Possess at least one year of experience using Encompass.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Problem solve issues by working with partners and clients.
- Act with a high level of integrity.
- Adapt communication and requests to different audiences regularly.
- Can demonstrate the AFR core values through actions.
