What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review medical records for accurate and compliant coding per federal regulations
- Educate new providers on coding and documentation requirements
- Conduct audits and documentation reviews to ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid guidelines
- Collaborate with the Auditing & Monitoring Team Lead to identify risk areas and education needs
- Facilitate meetings with providers to discuss coding patterns and revenue enhancement opportunities

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Certified Professional Coder-Apprentice (CPC-A) is required
- Previous or current long-term care experience
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding procedures and HIPAA regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate degree in Health Information Technology
- Certified Professional Coder certification
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Strong communication skills with a customer service attitude
- Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines
