What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage for services
- Secure third-party payer authorization for medical services to be rendered
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of insurance authorizations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two years' experience in a medical business office or healthcare setting involving customer service or patient-facing responsibilities
- Educational qualifications must be from an institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation
- Must not have been excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid
- Must be available for scheduled work shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Successful completion of post-secondary courses in Medical Terminology, Diagnosis and CPT Coding, and Anatomy & Physiology
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator, or Health Care Business Service program
