Job Description

- Drafting and Design: Using AutoCAD to create accurate and detailed drawings of modular stormwater management systems, and other detailed product designs, ensuring that designs adhere to local regulations, engineering, and customer standards.
- Collaboration: Working closely with engineers, colleagues, clients, architects, and others to incorporate the design requirements and feedback into the drawings.
- Calculations: Assisting engineers in calculating volumes, flow rates, and other technical parameters relevant to stormwater management.
- Documentation: Creating documentation such as construction plans, specifications, and material lists to accompany the drawings.
- Quality Control: Reviewing drawings for accuracy and completion and making revisions as necessary to ensure that designs meet project and permit requirements.
- Keeping Up with Regulations: Staying informed about relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to stormwater management to ensure that designs comply with all applicable requirements.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving design issues or conflicts that may arise during the drafting process.
- Sales: A Cad tech is a sales representative, there will be interface with engineers, clients, sales representatives, and support during some in person presentation.
- Follow up: As a group we are important an important bridge to the sales process. Our group must make sure the all the product information is in the hands of the sales representatives to close the projects. This information may include project contacts, start dates, owner, or contractor information.
- Relationship building: Be able to build and maintain relationships with all clients.
- Knowledge growth: Update job and project knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintain professional relationships, and professional networks.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field preferred, but not required.
- 2+ years’ experience as an AutoCAD Drafter.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Software skills Microsoft suite, auto CAD design background.
- This candidate must be a self-driven, motivated, team player,
- looking to join and effective sales-based group that is quickly growing an engineering and design driven market.
- This is a dynamic fast-moving segment that will involve some client interface.

These systems could include stormwater detention or retention basins, infiltration trenches, permeable pavement, or other stormwater management structures. This position will include some customer and colleague interaction. Minimal travel will be required. This position is remote and will be expected to perform all job tasks remotely and responsibly.
