- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance process automation systems.
- Support the design, implementation, commissioning, and validation of control applications.
- Lead minor and medium capital improvement automation projects.
- Design and commission control systems, primarily using Allen Bradley Control Logix PLCs and associated Electrical and Instrumentation systems.
- Develop HMI graphics for efficient technician response and process operation understanding.
- Coach and mentor team members on PLC tasks and activities.
- Participate in investigations of process control incidents, ensuring that follow-up actions prevent recurrence.
- Occasional travel may be required (less than 5% of the time).
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field with relevant process control experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process manufacturing or related areas.
- Strong experience in implementing and supporting Process Control systems, preferably Rockwell Allen Bradley.
- Knowledge of machine safety, high hazard processes, and process safety management is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control system hardware/software, instruments, networks, or processes.
- Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

The A&PC Engineer will play a pivotal role in providing technical services and support for automation and process control systems across our production units, contributing to top-line growth, capital projects, and asset effectiveness improvements.
The DuPont Spruance Site is a large-scale manufacturing facility known for producing leading materials such as Kevlar®, Nomex®, and Tyvek® for various industries, including safety and protection, construction, and packaging.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity for continued technical development and work closely with Site Automation Leaders, Technical/Manufacturing Resources, and Technicians to meet organizational goals.
