      Job Description:

      We are offering a student internship / master thesis / student worker position (f/m/d) to enhance our capability to perform research in the area of Autonomous Systems and Robotics.

      You will be involved in the design development and implementation of reference software stacks and tools.

      You will gather hands-on experience with real robots, learn about new AI solutions, and be involved in the development of ground-breaking research to advance industry and manufacturing. In this position you will be able to sharpen your profile in the development of real-world applications and learn to work in an open development team.

      Please note, that to be taken into consideration for this role you need to be enrolled in a study program for the full duration of the internship.

      You will be working on programming tasks around autonomous systems and robotics and related tools (C++, ROS, Docker, Kubernetes, OneAPI, OpenVino)complete and integrated software stacks for robotics and mobile autonomous systems including aspects of collaborative approaches and infrastructure-based perception an environment to fully simulate mobile robots in relevant environments for real time and realistic closed loop testing new AI solutions for robust environment perception safety concepts for autonomous mobile systemshands-on physical autonomous systems and robots.

      Qualifications:

      Required :

      • Bachelor or Master student in computer science, electrical engineering or similar field

      • Good programming skills especially in C++ and Python

      • Experiences with Unix/Linux

      • Language fluent in English; German is a plus



      Advantageous:

      • Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)

      • Hands on experience with robotics simulation like Gazebo

      • Hands on experience with common AI toolchains like TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar.

      • Collaborative software development (design methodologies, version control, software testing, etc.)
