What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in delivering educational support to students with special needs
- Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to educators and parents
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students in their daily activities and learning tasks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school education or equivalent
- Must meet one of the highly qualified standards for Paraprofessionals, including:
- Minimum of 48 semester hours of college credit from an accredited institution
- Associate's degree or higher
- Passing score on the ETS ParaPro Assessment
- Ability to upload proof of high school diploma or equivalent if college credit requirements are not met
- Must contact the designated person for information regarding ParaPro testing if applicable
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
- Familiarity with special education practices and regulations
