      Develop and deliver highly specialized federal security training programs tailored to meet the Aviation Department’s specific federal requirements.

      Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in organizational training, adult learning theory, aviation, business administration; and

      Five (5) years of experience as an organizational trainer in any combination of the following:
      • Aviation Security or Operations
      • Adult Education/Training
      • Occupational Safety

      Experience in an aviation related field preferred.
      Possession of an Airport Certified Employee (ACE) certificate preferred.

      Additional Requirements:
      Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
      Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.

      Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
      Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, if applicable.
      Possession of an Airport Trusted Agent Certification within six (6) months from date of hire.
      • Principles and practices of employee development programs
      • Methods and techniques of administering training and development programs
      • Theories, methods, and practices of adult learning
      • Principle and practices of program development and implementation
      • Methods and techniques of e-learning platforms and blended learning models
      • Modern office methods and equipment including computers
      • Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other training software
      • Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), State and City guidelines
      • Transport Security Administration rules and regulations
      • Emergency operations implementation, planning, procedures and emergency preparedness.
      • Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and safety regulations
      • Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
      • Principles and procedures of record keeping, report preparation and modern office procedures, methods, and equipment
      • Coordinate, direct, and assess training needs
      • Coordinate and facilitate course instruction
      • Train employees on safety related subjects
      • Train employees on security sensitive information
      • Develop and utilize multimedia applications to deliver training programs
      • Use a variety of computer and training software and other training platforms
      • Maintain confidentiality of work
      • Communicate clearly and concisely
      • Interpret, explain and present material of a sensitive nature
      • Work independently in the absence of supervision
      • Prepare clear and concise reports
      • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
      • Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
