Identify actionable profit-based marketing and product opportunities through customer analysis and data driven insights
Partner with Marketing, Risk, and Sales to develop integrated solutions to grow credit penetration and incremental sales and net income for confidential travel client portfolio
Provide strategic thought leadership and influence SYF business leaders and client teams to implement marketing and product strategies based upon customer, financial and data driven insights
Develop business case presentations and action plans to drive marketing strategy, including targeting recommendations, test design, channel optimization, product opportunities and cost/benefit analysis to review with client and marketing teams
Establish test and control strategies to measure bottom-line impact of targeting strategies by leveraging data from multiple sources and advanced analytical tools such as segmentation, and statistical models
Produce campaign analytics to track results of strategies deployed. Create "test" and "learn" culture through ongoing assessment of product and targeting strategies
Partner with US based and offshore analysts to ensure high-quality execution and delivery of marketing analytics and reporting
Act as a strategy and analytic consultant for large-scale initiatives, providing guidance and leadership for the design, analysis and measurement phases of the project
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Develop strategies and reporting capabilities using the following tools:
Data visualization tools using Tableau and BIRST to help develop dashboards and deliver insights
Open-source tools such as Python and R to increase programming speed and ability and work with structured and unstructured data
Leverage data from multiple sources to develop 360 customer analytics and measure interactions of the customer
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of work experience , OR in lieu of degree, high school diploma and 9+ years of relevant data analytics work experience
5+ years of progressive work experience, including:
3+ years of experience applying analytics to understand and drive insights into customer behavior or customer engagement
3+ years using statistical analysis tools and data warehouse tools
Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time
Proven hands-on experience utilizing SAS, SQL, R, or Python for data mining
Experience with Tableau data visualization tool
Digital analytics experience with Google analytics and Adobe analytics is plus.
Strong understanding of targeting and segmentation, retail analytic tools and advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint strongly preferred
Experience using external data sources to drive growth for clients
Strong marketing, creative and analytical skills
Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals
Proven ability to work independently yet as key member and contributor to a broader team
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
This AVP, will provide strategic insights and thought leadership to support portfolio analytics needs and drive profitable new account and purchase volume growth for the Sun Country Airline program. This role will work closely with the analytics functional leaders to provide strategic analytics, campaign design, tracking and reporting, segmentation, digital analytics, with actionable insights for this travel portfolio. They will also work closely with the client marketing team and the General Manager to promote sustainable growth of the portfolio, as well as deploy analytical insights and strategies around acquisition, early month on book, lifecycle, cross-sell and retention bases strategies. In addition, the role will have a heavy emphasis on hands-on analytics on a daily basis, leveraging Synchrony database, client retail database, as well as tools like SAS, SQL, R, Python, Tableau. Digital analytics experience with Google analytics and Adobe analytics is plus.

The salary range for this position is 115,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
