      Role purpose:

      Back End Software Engineer is responsible to design, develop and install software solutions. She/he shall be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Software engineer responsibilities will include development, writing code, and documenting functionality.

      Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

      • Execute full lifecycle software development with strong code ethics
      • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
      • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
      • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
      • Document and maintain software functionality
      • Develop maintainable code

      Core competencies, experience and knowledge:

      • BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
      • Proven work experience with core Java and Java EE (CDI , EJB, JPA, JMS, JAX-RS)
      • Proven work experience with Relational Databases SQL, Oracle SQL
      • Knowledge of Build Tools, Maven
      • Development experience with RESTFUL and SOAP and services
      • Development experience with Microservices concepts and frameworks (Quarkus, Helidon, Micronaut )
      • Development experience with NoSQL, Cassandra
      • Development experience with Oracle Weblogic
      • Knowledge of the IoT industry preferred
      • JIRA/Confluence experience preferred

      Behaviours and Other competencies:

      • Experience working with agile methodologies / in agile teams strongly preferred
      • Strong facilitation and organization skills
      • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with both technical and business audiences
      • Excellent analytical, technical, and problem solving skills, with high-levels of creativity
      • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
      • Customer centricity
      • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple balls
