Job summary
The Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust have an opportunity which has arisen within the Facilities Directorate, Portering department for Bank General Porters to join our dedicated team. To provide an efficient, effective and fully comprehensive portering service across Maidstone Hospital and the Kent and Medway Orthopedic Centre.
The hours are flexible to cover absence/annual leave and vacant shifts . We are looking for lively and enthusiastic individuals that have excellent interpersonal and communication skills who are well motivated and hardworking and able to work as part of our team. You will need to have a moderate amount of fitness as this role can be physically demanding.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to assist with the movement of patients at the Maidstone Hospital and the Kent and Medway Orthopedic Centre. You will assist with the delivery and collection of a variety of other items including linen, specimens, medical gases and waste.
Previous experience of working within a healthcare environment would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
