Job summary
Under the supervision of a registered Radiographer/Nurse assisting the Departmental team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carer.
Main duties of the job
General Dutieso Support all patients, carers, relative and colleagues through effective communication.o Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment in all areas.o Follow departmental protocols policies and procedures.o Ensuring consumables are stored appropriately and safely and maintain adequate stock levelso Prepare used linen bags for collection by Porters and ensure adequate supply of linen bags/skips ready for use.o Safe disposal of clinical waste and sharps as per Trust policyo Be familiar with Trust policy and procedure for reporting clinical incidents, reporting of incidents if they occur.o Provide support and assistance to new and junior members of staff.o Supports members of the nursing team in the management of abusive and aggressive behaviour with supervisiono Contribute to the Health, Safety and Security of individualso Report equipment faults to manager responsible for the work areao Ensuring that the code of Practice for Radiation Safety, as drawn up in the local rules, is observed at all times, and report any breaches or problems concerning these rules to the relevant Radiation Protection Supervisor.
