      The Banking Operations Specialist II job handles the routine day-to-day operations of consumer and commercial banking. This job performs administrative/transactional banking tasks such as assisting with service transactions, supporting multi-channel inbound referrals, verifying daily proofs and processing payments that sometimes require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. Working under moderate supervision, this job supports other banking professionals to ensure that critical tasks are completed on time, and may also be tasked with implementing new ways to streamline processes or improve efficiency within their department.

      Key Responsibilities and Duties
      • Answers service and referral calls and responds to customer questions and assists with service transactions.
      • Verifies that daily proofs and reconciliations are compliant with corporate accounting and control policies.
      • Validates accuracy of payments, tickets and online entries.
      • Provides solutions to customer, branch or bank inquiries and escalates issues as necessary.
      • Considers multiple resources and records when investigating customer inquiries.
      • Handles more complex transactions and balances general ledger accounts.
      • Ensures work is properly safeguarded and controlled in accordance with banking policies and procedures.

      Additional Key Responsibilities and Duties:

      • Return mail processing.
      • New Account Welcome Kit and CD Confirmation processing/fulfillment
      • Create and mail updated CD Confirmations
      • Research routine customer or bank inquiries and escalate issues as necessary.
      • Upload documents to the banks document retention repository
      • Process outgoing mail items
      • Electronically route incoming mail to various banking operations teams
      • Process work in accordance with team productivity, quality and timeliness standards
      • Ensure work is properly safeguarded and controlled in accordance with banking policies and procedures.

      Required Skills:

      • Prior Banking experience.

      Related Skills

      Base Pay Range: $18.11/hr. - $35.72/hr.

      Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
