Beer and history enthusiasts with a passion for great service

Beer have been breeed on the top of Valby Bakke since 1847. This was where our founders established the foundations for modern day Carlsberg. Soon the gates will open for locals and tourists with an amazing historic site and an brand new exhibition - an attraction where the story of Carlsberg can be experienced in the past, present and future. At the Home of Carlsberg we invite you to experience the story about the world’s third largest brewery, and we bring people together with nice food experiences, ‘hygge’, culture, music, and of course the taste of the world’s best beer - probably.

We need you to be a part of the team and to contribute in creating one of the best attractions in Copenhagen. For locals and tourists, families and young people, employees and our many collaborating partners.

The job at Home of Carlsberg

Do you have an interest in beer and/or history? Do you want to share your knowledge with a broad group of people?

In the Public Engagement department at Home of Carlsberg we offer a fun, vibrant and a varied workplace. No two days will be the same.

      Your responsibilities

The primary tasks are divided in two groups: practical jobs and public speaking/entertaining:

      Practical tasks:

      • Bartending in our rewards bar
      • Welcoming guests in our welcoming bar
      • Bartending adjacent jobs, like restocking, washing glasses etc.

Entertaining guests at the new Home of Carlsberg:

      • Daily beer tastings in our 165-year-old cellars
      • Exhibition tasks, which could be anything from answering questions to conducting small beer science experiments.

      Your qualifications

We do not expect you to know the history of Carlsberg or know a lot about beer and brewing. But we do expect a willingness to learn. We are looking for new employees who have a passion for the guest experience and service with a smile as well as the confidence to be the center of attention at times. Our primary work language will be English.

You must thrive in a lively environment amongst a lot of people and guests from all over the world.

When starting your employment at the Home of Carlsberg you will receive extensive training with fun stories of the Jacobsen family, quirky facts about beer and a unique opportunity to get to know your colleagues before the exhibition open.
