What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate fiscal activities and financial records to ensure compliance with regulations
- Create and monitor corrective action plans aligned with federal requirements
- Design and implement fiscal structures for federal reimbursement policies
- Write and present audit reports and findings to stakeholders
- Coordinate and respond to fiscal audits across various programs

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field, or seven years of relevant experience
- Minimum three years of professional auditing or accounting experience
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards
- Ability to interpret financial reports, policies, and legislation
- Strong oral and written communication skills with diverse audiences

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in Public Administration or related field
- Experience with large, complex financial systems within state or government entities
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling
- Familiarity with Washington State systems and regulations governing health programs
- Experience presenting complex financial information to non-financial audiences
