- Position Reports to HR Director
- Workdays are primarily Monday through Friday
- Evening and weekend work may be required occasionally
- Infrequent travel may be required
- Position is Regular, Full-time and is classified as Exempt
- Establishes, implements, and administers the company's compensation system, including hierarchical structures and grades
- Facilitates job analysis and evaluation, recommends classifications, and maintains up-to-date job descriptions
- Conducts market research and analysis, benchmarking, and responds to compensation surveys to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices
- Coordinates the annual compensation review and merit process, including processing adjustments, promotions, and administering workbooks
- Provides guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation-related matters
- Administers employee health and welfare benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, life insurance, and disability plans, in accordance with the plan documents and related regulatory requirements, including qualifying life events, new hire enrollments, payroll deductions, billing, and ACA administration and filings
- Coordinates with benefit providers and vendors to manage employee enrollments and changes
- Manages the open enrollment lifecycle, including census file(s), system configuration, communication, education, and assistance for employees during and beyond the enrollment period
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements related to benefits administration
- Conducts regular benefits reviews, audits, and reconciliations and provides recommendations for improvements, changes, and system configuration
- Implements and administers employee rewards and recognition programs and initiatives to enhance engagement and motivation
- Administers the company's gifting platform and related recognition systems
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of recognition programs and makes recommendations for enhancements
- Manages and administers unpaid and paid leave programs, including FMLA/ADA notices, short-term and long-term disability claims, and other leave policies
- Assists HR leadership with ADA accommodations and extended leave requests
- Ensures accurate tracking and documentation of employee absences and leaves
- Responds to disability claim employer verification requests from carrier
- Provides guidance and support to managers and employees on leave policies and procedures
- Ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding absence and leave administration
- Administers the company's 401(k) retirement plan in accordance with the plan document; serves as co-fiduciary for plan administration
- Coordinates education and support to employees regarding retirement plan options and enrollment
- Assists financial auditors and HR leadership with audit requests in a timely manner
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements related to retirement plans
- Participates in reviews of retirement plan offerings and makes recommendations for improvements or changes
- Configures and maintains the HRIS system for all HR functions, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security structures
- Develops and generates HRIS reports to support decision-making, strategic planning, and to comply with annual reporting requirements
- Communicates effectively with employees regarding compensation, benefits, leave, and HRIS-related matters
- Provides guidance and support to employees during open enrollment periods and other benefits-related events
- Provides training and support to HR staff and other users of the HRIS system
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues and coordinates with vendors for updates and enhancements
- Recommends and develops process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance service delivery and data hygiene
- Provides backup support to other HR team members
- Exceptional knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation, benefits, and leave administration, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, ACA, ERISA, and paid leave
- Highly proficient in large data management, processing, analysis, data joins/lookups, tables, charts, categorization, visualization, and reporting
- Exhibited ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, and meet related time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced and growing environment
- Excellent organization, planning, attention to detail, and accuracy skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability in building effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders, including executive leadership, and functional organizations
- Impeccable handling of confidential information with appropriate discretion and sensitivity
- Bachelor's degree in business management, human resources, finance, communications, economics, or other business and/or industry-related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
- HR Certifications preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CEBS, CBP, CCP, and/or similar)
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in benefits, compensation, and leave administration
- Exceptional written and verbal skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, plan documents, standard operating procedures, and manuals, and reference the same in writing an/or verbally
- Ability to query data, create reports, and data visualization for all audience levels
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, teams, and leadership
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Advanced competency using Excel, required
- Advanced proficiency administering and configuring various HR systems, such as Paylocity and Employee Navigator
- Experience using a variety of tools, sources, and HR applications for benchmarking, including CompAnalyst
- Must be proficient in using the following programs:
- Word
- PowerPoint
- SharePoint
- Teams
- Outlook
- Knowledge of project management and enterprise resource planning software, preferred:
- Hive, Jira, Trello, and/or similar
- NetSuite ERP, and/or similar
- Ability to learn new platforms, as needed
