      Key Position Details:

      • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2-week pay period)

      Job Description:

      Provides strategy and operations of the benefit programs as part of the total rewards center of excellence. Ensures benefits programs support the system's strategic objectives and meet legal requirements. The scope of benefits programs may include medical and dental benefits, retirement programs, disability insurance, wellbeing, voluntary benefits, and other employee benefit programs.

      Principle Responsibilities

      • Participates in the development of a benefits strategy aligned with the organization’s business strategy in compliance with legislative, regulatory and negotiated labor requirements.
        • Key contributor in the development of benefits plans and programs.
        • Analyzes trends and costs to make and implement recommendations.
        • Leverages benefits best practices and knowledge of regulatory changes to recommend compensation changes.
        • Develops communication strategy for benefit programs.
        • Acts as final escalation point to consult on complex benefits issues.
        • Conducts requests for proposals to analyze and recommend vendors.
        • Provide ongoing management of vendors including contract review, monitoring performance guarantees, analyzing cost trends, and ensuring deliverables.
        • Leads in the impact assessment of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures on employee benefit plans.
        • Assists in the preparation of various committee meeting materials and may attend meetings.
        • Collaborate with Total Rewards leaders to provide cross-functional support as needed.
      • Other duties as assigned.


      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related discipline
      • 7+ years benefits experience

      Pay Range

      Pay Range: $41.98 to $58.08 per hour

      The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
