      Hourly base pay rate is $21.06 - $31.63/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

      Job Description

      The Corporate Benefits team at Cox is looking for an intern to help with the auditing, implementation, and evaluation of our employee relief fund, disability, and medical programs. The internship will include a variety of hands-on experiences including event coordination as well as technical experience with auditing reporting and evaluation.

      You’ll learn about Cox through a series of functional and market-based project assignments specifically aligned to your area of study and aspirations. Here’s a peek at the experiences that await you:

      • Become familiar with employee relief fund, disability, and medical programs and their business goals, objectives and needs
      • Perform audit of database systems for accurate recording and reporting
      • Help plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvement
      • Perform research and analysis in support of operations
      • Assist in resolving business issues using systems and data
      • Manipulate and interpret data using Excel; use data to support recommendations and reporting for our plans and programs
      • Review and update marketing materials and employee communications
      • Assist fellow team members by partnering on various reporting, analysis, projects, and campaigns
      • May perform additional projects upon request

      • Currently, a college student pursuing a BA/BS degree in Business, Public Affairs, Human Services, Human Resources, and other related fields.

      • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
      • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organization skills.
      • Computer skills, which include Microsoft Office suite and online research ability.

      Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.
