Job Purpose: The purpose of the Beverage Manager is to ensure efficient, effective, and consistent operations within the beverage department by managing staff and inventory in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications: • Previous Customer Service experience is required • Previous Hospitality industry experience is required • Previous Supervisory experience is required • Previous Bartending experience is preferred • Ability to work well with other in a team driven environment • Ability to communicate effectively to all employees (direct reports, peers, directors, etc.)
License Requirements: Must secure appropriate RI mandated gaming licenses Must secure appropriate alcohol safety certification within 60 days of hire
Essential Job Functions: • Oversee the day to day operations of all bars • Manage schedule in accordance to the appropriate staffing levels • Train bartenders on point of sale system, company rules and regulations • Inform bartenders of new company rules and state laws • Investigate and manage guest complaints or employee issues • Work with bartenders to maintain the highest level of customer service • Gather information from guest and bartenders on new products requested • Enter monthly inventory • Enforce company policies and procedures • Maintain E-time on a weekly basic to ensure appropriate employee clock in and clock out • Have working knowledge of point of sale system front and back of house • Must acquire a working knowledge of union contact
Physical/Mental Requirements: • Constantly use physical movements necessary for general office duties: standing, walking, balancing, eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity, handling, wrist motion, sitting, reaching, carrying, vision, hearing, stooping, and twisting • Constantly plan, follow directions, read, write, use math, discriminate colors, work at various tempos or work rapidly, make decisions, concentrate, remember, attention to and observe details, use of ten key and personal computer • Constantly use mental alertness to achieve high level of accuracy in completing tasks • Able to work nights, overnights and all weekends and be flexible with schedule frequently • Ability to work at a fast pace for up to 12 hr shifts occasionally • Able to train with many different personalities constantly
Working Conditions: • Mostly indoors and generally climate-controlled environment • Will be exposed to noise, smoke, and odors • Working with others and independently
