      New Life Foot & Body Spa is a wellness sanctuary dedicated to the ancient art of foot reflexology and Chinese massage techniques (推拿 Tuī Ná, 按摩 Àn Mó, and 足疗 Zú Liáo).       Schedule:

      Specific hours TBD, but the business is open on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 9:00 pm and on Sundays from 9:30 am to 8:00 pm. We are looking for someone who can work approximately 8-16 hours. We will work with the selected candidate to create a schedule that works for everyone.

      Salary/Wage Range:

      Hourly $15.00 to $20.00

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      New Life Foot & Body Spa on Madison's east side is looking for a bilingual (Chinese/English) part-time receptionist!

      New Life, a growing wellness business focused on foot reflexology, employs a small staff of 5, all of whom are native speakers of Chinese. We are looking for someone who can help us bridge the language gap between clients and employees, especially during our busiest weekend hours! This is a great opportunity for a student looking to practice cross-cultural communication, sharpen their bilingual skills, learn about running a small business, and build their resume.

      • Weekend hours (Saturdays and Sundays)
      • $15/hour to start, depending on experience
      • Main tasks: Greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, helping with general customer questions, possible light cleaning
      • Must be proficient in Mandarin Chinese and English

      Qualifications:

      • Proficient in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with strong verbal communication skills in both languages
      • Available to work weekend hours consistently (Saturdays and Sundays)
      • Previous customer service experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
      • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
      • Professional demeanor and friendly personality, with a genuine interest in wellness and customer care
      • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with scheduling software and point-of-sale systems
      • Reliable transportation to our east side location
      • Must be 18 years or older
      • Ability to maintain a calm, welcoming presence even during busy periods
      • Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing appointments and client information
