What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Establish and maintain trusting relationships with families through regular home visits
- Provide parenting education, guidance, and support using evidence-based curriculum
- Observe and assess parent-child interactions, implementing strategies for improvement
- Connect families to community resources and referrals, acting as a liaison with service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation of home visits, assessments, and referrals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bilingual in English and one of the following languages: Haitian Creole or French
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance with full use of an automobile during work hours
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or early childhood education preferred
- Ability to establish trusting relationships with families facing various challenges
- Experience working with or providing services to children and families
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Infant mental health endorsement preferred
- Trained in the Growing Great Kids curriculum
- Knowledge of parenting education, infant and child development, and community resources
- Willingness to engage in building reflective capacity and work with culturally diverse populations
- Experience in implementing cultural humility principles
