What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in providing instruction to limited or non-English speaking students in various subjects
- Develop teaching aids and materials under teacher direction
- Communicate with students in a designated language to facilitate learning
- Support teacher with assessment and evaluation of student work
- Assist with student supervision before, during, and after school activities

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Completion of 60 semester college credits and/or an AA degree or successful score on the Illinois ParaPro test
- Valid Illinois driver's license
- Knowledge of correct oral and written usage of English and a designated language
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Understanding and patient attitude towards individuals from diverse cultures
