What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist teachers in planning and implementing learning experiences for students
- Monitor classroom management in accordance with district discipline procedures
- Supervise students in various settings, ensuring a safe environment
- Perform clerical functions related to student record keeping and assignments
- Provide support to substitute teachers and assist in maintaining class records

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must have a current Illinois paraprofessional license or higher Illinois educator license
- Spanish fluency required
- Ability to work harmoniously with students and staff in a team setting
- Capability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Must possess a valid First Aid card

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with students who have disabilities or special needs
- Familiarity with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
- Skills in using technology and specialized software programs for education
- Positive attitude towards working with children with special needs
- Experience in a bilingual or ESL setting
