What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and submit billing data to insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of claims
- Resolve insurance and clearinghouse rejections, coordinating with clinic staff to address discrepancies
- Investigate insurance denials and perform follow-up on unpaid claims
- Provide financial counseling to clients, discussing payment options and resolving unpaid balances
- Keep clinic staff informed of changes to billing regulations and policies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience in a medical setting
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Familiarity with billing for Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care, and third-party billing
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and EHR systems
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with insurance portals and billing regulations
- Additional certifications related to medical billing or coding
