What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Model and train staff in the principles and practice of Positive Behavior Support methodology
- Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments and provide behavior analytic interpretations
- Provide direct behavioral treatment to clients, including skills training and crisis de-escalation
- Monitor restraint use and provide training to reduce it
- Participate in relevant committees, including the Behavior Intervention Committee and Human Rights Committee
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Must be able to record/enter data accurately and objectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in providing direct behavioral treatment in various settings
- Knowledge of Positive Behavior Support methodology
- Familiarity with crisis management procedures
- Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
