- Log in and prepare manuscript files for copyediting
- Review page proofs for accuracy and quality
- Copyedit indexes to ensure consistency and clarity
- Perform various clerical tasks to support the department
- Collaborate with team members to finalize manuscripts into finished books

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be enrolled at the University of Wisconsin–Madison
- Ability to commit from late spring 2025 to spring/summer 2026 (or beyond)
- Excellent written English skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with The Chicago Manual of Style
- Open to all academic majors
