What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Execute budgetary transactions, including apportionments, allotments, and warrants for federal programs
- Research the impacts of new federal laws and appropriations on existing programs
- Conduct research and reconciliations using historical federal accounting and financial reports
- Develop and maintain Excel-based automated tools for tracking and projecting budgetary information
- Document technical details clearly to facilitate collaboration and ensure quality control

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or public policy
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience supporting federal budget offices
- Strong knowledge of budget and accounting concepts and OMB Circular A-11
- Attention to detail in a data-intensive environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
