What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary liaison between the finance office and designated university budget managers
- Prepare financial reports and analyses, including budget-to-actual reconciliations and financial trend assessments
- Manage the preparation and submission of journal entries and budget adjustments
- Participate in operational projects, contributing to the development and modification of systems and policies
- Oversee purchase card administration and manage purchase orders as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, business, or a related field
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience in budget management or a related area
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and the ability to leverage technology in responsibilities
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in higher education finance or budget management
- Familiarity with Synoptix reporting software
- Knowledge of accounting principles and budgetary functions in an educational setting
