      Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale , we are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Technology team. This role will be based at our Madame Tussauds office in London and is offered on a permanent basis, with hybrid-working available.

      About the Role...

      As Business Analyst, you will act as a conduit to and from the business. With primary focus on ticketing and admissions related projects, you will be leading work streams and undertaking business, functional and technical analysis to develop and support key projects. Responsibilities include:

      • Supporting the IT Product Owner across a complex matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders and managing ambiguity and conflicting/overlapping priorities.
      • Using rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with the most effective, not obvious or easy, solutions.
      • Recognising process challenges within a business area and functional interdependencies.
      • Provide support on processes and governance.
      • Work with the Product Owner, IT Project Managers and business stakeholders to identify and define the business problem and business case.
      • Lead the definition, evaluation and agreement of the business solution options (collaborating with key stakeholders across the business and technology teams).
      • Lead the refinement of the requirements and business solution definition, including acceptance criteria, working closely with the key stakeholders.

      About You...

      • Excellent oral and written communication skills and collaborates well with all levels of the business.
      • Strong presentation/reporting skills – ability to synthesise complex information and communicate it in a concise and compelling manner.
      • Understanding of the demands of the business and the IT environment and the potential impact they have on each other’s processes.
      • Proven experience working on IT BA activity and leading projects within a customer facing function in the Entertainment/Retail/Hospitality industry.
      • Knowledge and experience of implementing project management processes, methods, and tasks.
      • Proven experience of BPM and process mapping tools.
      • Understanding of IT systems and the ability to understand and review technical documentation, with support from the solution analysts as required.
      • Experience in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and SharePoint.
      • Diplomatic, patient and approachable.
      • Willing to continuously update personal skills and knowledge.
      • Professional and positive approach; being a great team player.
      • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
      • Experience with ticketing systems such as Accesso is highly advantageous.
