Introduction:

What will you be doing?

Delivery (50%)

• Requirement study for arriving at set of functional documents
• Experience in development of functional analysis deliverables from Business Requirements (BRDs)
• Delivery of Functional and Interface design artefacts, Interface Catalogues, Query clarification for stakeholder teams like Development, Test, OPS and Configuration. Be part of Production Incident resolution, suggest workarounds and ensure that all designs delivered are in line with Target Architecture roadmap
• Inputs to the functional detailed design document creation.
• Act as a communication bridge between Business/OPS and Technical teams
• Manage Review and Sign-Offs from business stakeholders as well as other team in program.
• Build a knowledge base of the application within the organization.
• Sufficient technical depth to discuss designs with Technical / Infrastructure designers and data architects.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership (50%)

• Strong interpersonal and cross-team collaboration skills working with peers across the wider Barclays organisation
• Maintain effective engagement with the Technology Office and Build teams
• Be able to work with teams across entities to liaise with for any project related tasks
• Create strong stakeholder relationship and collaborate effectively across internal and external teams
• Be able to work on the change process compliance & stakeholder coordination

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Business Analyst skills and experience.
• Very strong Payments domain knowledge from a business, operational and technology perspective
• Strong knowledge of e2e payment life cycle and workflows
• Knowledge / experience of payment applications and utilities
• Understanding of Payments processing and the various message formats like SWIFT MT, ISO20022, and EDIFACT.
• Understanding of Payments High Value and low value payments system
• Working knowledge of UK/EU clearing system e.g. CHAPS, TARGET2, EURO1, SEPA CT, SEPA DD, BACS, FPS.
• Experience of detailed design through production of FRDs (Functional Requirements Definition) and IRDs (Interface Requirements Definition.
• Awareness about industry/regulatory changes and the impact thereof
• Team player with strong communications skills
• Stakeholder management including working with business owners and external stakeholders
• Ability to prioritise, understand value and work with the product owner to align project delivery priorities with business priorities

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Experience in Agile methodologies and artefacts like user story, Kanban board etc
• Hands-on exposure on common tools such as Jira, Rally and/or Devops/automation tools
• Cross functional/technical skills (Technology skills in development & Test automation)
